07 Apr Weekly Free Restorative Yoga
BRISSC is inviting you to participate in our weekly online restorative yoga event for women survivors of sexual violence. This will be hosted by Maggie who is a body positive and inclusive yoga teacher based in Brisbane’s south and runs a private yoga studio from home. She became a yoga teacher to share the benefits and magic of yoga with people of all body types and abilities. Having experienced body shaming from a yoga teacher in front of a class, she decided to bring yoga to everyone and runs classes that are fun, non-judgmental, inclusive and connected.
This event will take place online on alternate Wednesdays and Thursdays starting on the 21st of April. You don’t need to attend all sessions to get involved.
Thursdays 9:30 am – 11:30 am
Wednesdays 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

To help you participate you will need some basic items which include
· Pillows – Preferably a few different types but definitely firmer ones or blankets which can be folded and stacked
· Block or stack of books to resemble a block
