In collaboration with the Northside Sexual Assault Network (NSAAN), BRISSC is offering ‘Responding to Sexual Violence Training’ for community workers.

This 2 day training aims to provide community workers with knowledge and skills to respond to sexual violence – both in terms of individual disclosures and prevention of violence within our communities. Specific topics include:-

• Understanding sexual violence and its impacts upon women, including young women;
• Skills in responding to disclosures from survivors, including referral pathways for support and information about forensic examinations;
• Ideas about building community capacity to prevent sexual violence
