11 May Submissions Now Open – Women’s Experience in the Criminal Justice Sytem
The Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce is inviting Queensland women to share their experiences with the criminal justice system. In the coming years, the government plans to initiate law reforms to address Domestic and Family Violence (DFV), such as new coercive control laws. Your submissions will contribute to recommendations made to the Honourable Shannon Fentiman – Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Minister for Women and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence. Information from these submissions hopes to generate better support for women going through the criminal justice system as well as hold perpetrators accountable.
You can make a submission about your experiences here.
You can find the press release for this initiative here.
If you are interested in knowing more we may discuss these initiatives at the upcoming Justice on Fridays group for women (see previous email and link for group details).
