25 Aug Online Form to Report Sexual Assault
From the 25th of August, 2020 The Queensland Police Service have launched an online form to report sexual assault. This form allows victim/survivors to make FORMAL police reports about sexual assaults online.
What you need:
– A valid and current personal email address
– Authorisation if you are reporting this matter on behalf of the victim
What to expect:
– You will receive an online reference number to confirm the form has been submitted. This number should be retained if you need to contact Policelink on 131 444 in relation to this incident.
– If you nominate you would like an email or SMS response, subject to operation requirements, you will receive a Qld Police report number by the nominated method within 24 hours.
From the information provided to BRISSC, the reports will be allocated to an investigator with specialist skills in investigating sexual crimes. There are inbuilt processes to identify matters that may require a priority response.
