08 Oct Lost in Translation – Community Art Show!
BRISSC is pleased to announced the ‘lost in translation art show‘.
We invite survivors, allies, activists and people who appreciate art, to our community art exhibition, which focuses on women’s stories of resistance and liberation from personal and sociological experiences of sexual violence. The show aims to hold a space and give voice to women whose words are sometimes lost in translation.
The artists on display are both survivors and community women who have collaborated over the past months through a series of workshops to capture what cannot always be communicated by words alone.
Date: 24th October 4-8pm
Venue: 48 Hilton Street East Brisbane (Old Scouts Hall Heath Park)
Registration: Please email [email protected] or register here: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/lost-in-translation-art-exhibition-tickets-124372077231
