16 Mar Changes to BRISSC Service Delivery (COVID-19)
In light of COVID-19, BRISSC service centres will be temporarily closed. We will continue providing regular support via phone, email and zoom during this time. We acknowledge this time may be especially difficult for survivors and we remain committed to offering regular, quality support.
***PLEASE NOTE*** if you are not currently accessing support with BRISSC but would like to book an appointment, please contact us as normal.
Due to the risk of the coronavirus COVID-19 spreading, the BRISSC service centres will be temporarily closed.
Service locations include:

75 Old Progress Road Inala
All counselling and support sessions will be provided by telephone or videoconferencing (zoom) only. Your support worker will be in contact via email or telephone to arrange your next session.
The telephone support line will continue as normal, offering support Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 1:00pm 07 3391 0004.
All scheduled group and Community Education work activities will be postponed until further notice.
This a temporary measure only we will reassess our potential for risk in the coming weeks.

The coronavirus is most likely spread through:
– Close contact with an infectious person.
– Contact with droplets form an infected person’s cough or sneeze.
– Touching objects that have cough or sneeze droplets from an infected person, then touching your mouth or face (Australian Government Department of Health).
Social distancing or staying away from other people to avoid catching or spreading the virus is the best way to slow the spread of the virus.
People who have travelled overseas are now required to self-isolate for 14 days upon returning to Australia or people who have been in contact with someone conformed to have COVID-19.
