SHARED – The Queensland Sentencing Advisory Council is seeking submissions from community and services to give recommendations for law changes on how adult sexual violence cases are sentenced. We know there is a lot to say on this topic.

“[The QLD Sentencing Council] have been asked to review current sentencing practices for sexual assault and rape and advise if any changes to the law are needed we are now seeking submissions to the review with the release of our Consultation Paper â Sentencing of Sexual Assault and Rape: The Ripple Effect. The paper presents information about the sentencing of sexual assault and rape in Queensland and poses questions based on the Councilâs preliminary research and consultation.”
